Celebrate Women
Celebrate Women is a photo campaign aimed at empowering women by enabling them with a photoshoot where they have full creative control. Participants are volunteer based, and only asked to bring an object or have an element in mind that they feel empowers them, something hopefully highlighted in their photos. From that point on, it is a partnership between the subject's vision and the experience and skill of the photographer. This campaign was created by Nicole Chan and the photo shoots took place across NYU Campuses, in New York and in Shanghai. Other participating photographers were David Santiano and Millicent Wong. The resulting photos were collectively published with quotes from the subject for online publication and throughout various forms of social media on March 8th, International Women's Day.
